About The Position

The Manager of Sox and Projects is responsible for coordinating SOX and improvement projects. The purpose of the job is to make sure that the company has a strong internal control framework to remain SOX compliant at all times while looking for efficiency and improvement through automation and technology. He/she is working closely together with Internal Audit and External Audit, IT Compliance, Financial Controllers, Regional Controllers, Tax, Treasury and Corporate and BU Finance Staff. For project management close relationship are held with project managers, JDE experts, IT compliance, application owners and IT consultants to obtain the best possible result for the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of professional finance, accounting, (internal) audit and SOX experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or CPA a plus
  • Proficient knowledge and thorough understanding of US GAAP
  • Experience in a Big 4 firm and/or international company
  • Experience with JD Edwards, Longview, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Power Point and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Act as global SOX coordinator within the global Rousselot organization and implement further (AI / RPA driven) automation of SOX controls.
  • Assist with ongoing training to business functions with respect to internal controls and SOX compliance.
  • Develop relationships with local/regional SOX coordinators, in- and external auditors, and highlight best practices.
  • Contribute to the documentation and evaluation and remediation of control deficiencies.
  • Participate on an as-needed basis for walkthroughs of key processes and controls to assess the design of key controls over financial reporting.
  • Identifies internal control gaps in business processes or systems, and makes determinations and/or recommendations to enhance internal controls and to achieve better process efficiencies.
  • Prepare high quality well-organized SOX deliverables and process improvement recommendations.
  • Coordination and planning and setting priorities for improvement projects.
  • Drive, support and implement (JD Edwards) global projects and templates to guarantee uniformity and adequate assessment of business needs.
  • Adhere to company policies and processes (including change control, security, corporate policies and/or US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley 404)
