About the position

The Manager, Sourcing & Contracts at Venture Global LNG is a leadership role within the Procurement function, responsible for overseeing the sourcing of third-party goods and services essential for the company's operations. This position involves managing a team of Sourcing Specialists, engaging in contract negotiations, and developing procurement strategies that align with the company's business objectives. The role emphasizes compliance, performance metrics, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Sourcing Specialists responsible for day-to-day procurement activities.
  • Participate in contract negotiations with internal stakeholders including Legal, Finance, and Projects.
  • Develop and execute multi-Asset procurement strategies to support business objectives.
  • Implement best practices in procurement and contracting to meet commercial and operational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities.
  • Conduct review meetings with stakeholders to assess risks and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Update procurement strategies based on market conditions and business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or related discipline; MBA or Juris Doctor preferred.
  • Minimum of ten years of supply chain experience, including contracting, in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience in LNG liquefaction facilities is highly preferred.
  • Ability to build relationships and engage with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong understanding of key contractual terms and negotiation skills with limited legal support.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and long-term partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance practices and operations processes.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, including drafting legal documents.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines while managing sensitive information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with SAP and Coupa preferred.
