About The Position

As Waystar continues to grow rapidly, we are seeking a talented and dedicated Manager, PMO to lead our Project Management Team. This role is critical to driving successful implementations of our offerings with customers. The ideal candidate is a tech-savvy, resourceful leader who can build strong relationships across all levels of an organization—from executives to end-users—while ensuring operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of Project Management experience in a SaaS Professional Services capacity, preferably in healthcare.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a management role (preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • PMP Certification (or eligible to take)
  • Knowledge of healthcare software implementations.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Passion for healthcare and technology.
  • High emotional intelligence and adaptability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Waystar Project Management Team, providing resources, tools, and standardized processes for success.
  • Forecast, plan, report, and manage the team’s portfolio of projects to ensure accurate and timely revenue projections.
  • Develop deep expertise in implementation milestones and dependencies for all Waystar solutions.
  • Oversee implementations across the customer base, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Manage prioritization, escalation, and resolution of issues across implementations.
  • Define, implement, and scale project management processes to drive efficiency.
  • Partner with Customer Success to align project management practices with long-term strategy.
  • Provide project management expertise for new and existing customer projects.
  • Deploy resources based on skill and expertise for optimal outcomes.
  • Track team effort and leverage data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Create customer-facing documentation and educate internal teams on implementation processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to continuously improve offerings and customer satisfaction.
  • Represent Waystar with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.
