About The Position

As a Manager & Software Integrity Engineer in the Intelligent System Experience organization, you will lead and mentor a team while actively participating in screening and triaging incoming bug reports, analyzing logs, and prioritizing user feedback. You will both identify emerging trends yourself and empower your team to communicate these insights from issues filed by Apple employees, external developers, and users before they reach customers. Your hands-on triage work will involve analyzing diagnostic logs and internal analytics, while you simultaneously drive strategy and execution for improving team efficiency through building, maintaining, and adopting automation tools. We are looking for a passionate, technically astute leader who can inspire a team while delivering high-quality individual contributions. You will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, and developing talent while actively participating in the critical bug triage work that defines the team. You will define team goals, establish clear metrics for success, ensure alignment with organizational objectives, and personally contribute to achieving those goals through hands-on technical work. As a driving force behind the system experience on all Apple platforms including iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, visionOS, and macOS, your dual contributions as both a leader and practitioner will help continue to push forward the devices that countless users rely on. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience diagnosing and triaging software issues.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; 2 years of relevant professional experience may substitute for the educational requirement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing and mentoring a technical team.
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical work with team leadership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with bug/issue ticketing systems and workflow optimization.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript.
