About The Position

The AI & Systems Co-Design team at Meta is looking for a senior engineering manager to lead the development of next-generation general purpose compute platforms for Meta. In this high-impact role, you will guide a highly technical organization responsible for shaping Meta’s roadmap through innovative technology exploration and hardware/software co-design. The Co-Design Team works closely in partnership with internal product groups and infrastructure teams and is a key conduit between our workloads and long-term HW/SW strategy. Externally, we influence the hardware industry and vendor technology roadmap using performance analysis, workload characterization and development of representative benchmarks. Additionally, due to the pioneering nature of our work, we have strong collaboration with academia and a stellar track record of publications in top systems and architecture conferences.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years managing managers, 5+ years managing technical teams
  • Demonstrated deep understanding in one or more of the following technical domains: CPU architecture (x86/ARM), Memory Technologies, Power Management, Storage, CXL, Workload analysis and Benchmarking, and HW-SW codesign
  • Experience with recruiting, building, structuring and leading technical organizations, including performance management
  • Proven communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • PhD in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong track record of publication in top-tier architecture and systems conferences
  • Hands-on technical experience with large scale infrastructure and distributed systems

  • Lead and mentor a team of high-caliber engineers, fostering both technical excellence and professional growth
  • Develop and communicate technical vision and long-term roadmap strategy for the organization
  • Foster strong partnerships with internal cross-functional spanning hardware and software engineering functions, and externally with vendors and academic institutions
