The Manager, Software Engineer will be responsible to own the end-to-end delivery and sustainment of both custom built and off the shelf Software products for Disney Cruise Line. In addition, will assist Cast member teams in managing priorities, removing roadblocks, and mentoring cast for career growth. This role will also partner with key stakeholders (Product, Operations, Design, Project Management, etc.) in the delivery of key initiatives from initial concept through funding approval to project completion. Lead and direct a team of software and system engineers to ensure the DCL Logistics, Medical and Safety & Quality Management applications portfolio are designed for highest quality of Guest and Cast experience including but not limited to a goal of 100% availability, stable and reliable to achieve business objectives and ensure seamless experience. The candidate must possess the ability to share and communicate ideas clearly, both orally and in writing, to business sponsors and partners, technical resources, and executives, in clear concise language that is the effective for each respective group. The Manager must be able to manage competing priorities between Capital and Expense initiatives including application stability (incidents), security vulnerabilities and remediation, problem solutions and new business capabilities. An ability to balance technology and business priorities is key for this role.
