We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Software Engineering to join our Employee Benefits Claimant digital experience ART. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of talented software engineers to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the claimant experience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software products. This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office location (Hartford, CT; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; and Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Requirements

  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role with 3-4 reportees.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture, and design.
  • 5+ years of Hands-on development experience with UI Technology like Angular, React and backend technologies (Java or .NET).
  • 2+ years of Hands-on working experience with Scaled Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Hands-on working knowledge in cloud infrastructure like AWS, GCP and understanding of GenAI engineering concepts
  • Usage of GenAI development tools like MS copilot and GIT copilot, Amazon Q and the like.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the employee benefits domain and claimant experience is a plus.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end and back-end development frameworks and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
