We are looking for a Software Development Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for designing a strategic perspective regarding IT architecture and business needs. You will also develop and implement architecture software strategy. Our ideal candidate will have strong software development experience working in an agile environment.

  • Quickly possess an understanding of Cotiviti and adeptly work across organizational boundaries partnering with Business Leads and Functional Product Managers while maintaining a strategic perspective regarding IT architecture and business needs.
  • Drive, develop, and implement long-term architecture software strategy to ensure alignment with company performance objectives.
  • Manage internal stakeholders and speak with the client on behalf of the organization as needed.
  • Manage and evaluate staff performance for professional development of the staff members, including conducting objective-setting goals, coaching, assessment, and mentoring activities.
  • Define results, select alternatives, and take action across a range of products.
  • Have primary knowledge, control, and influence of IT decisions for the area of responsibility, including optimizing service costs through a mix of internal and external resources for all aspects of development.
  • Work with the HIPAA Privacy and Security Officer and HIPAA Security Compliance team to ensure all information systems and networks operate according to internal standards, external accrediting agency standards, regulatory agencies, and legal requirements.
  • Develop and implement disaster plans, emergency mode operation plans, backup plans, physical security plans, personnel security plans, access policies, and others, ensuring each plan is tested and revised as necessary to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
  • Hire, develop, coach, lead, and retain top-tier talent, focusing on building and improving a team and culture that supports and drives high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Complete all responsibilities as outlined on the annual Performance Plan.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • BS. in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Strong strategic and tactical leadership, motivation, and decision-making skills.
  • Proactive with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • 2+ years of Java development experience or leading teams who utilize Java.
  • 5 years of experience leading development projects using object-oriented development languages, ETL, or data warehousing, including team management.
  • 7+ years working knowledge of IT industry business operations is required.
  • 7+ years of strong design and development experience in the area of software development.
  • Preference of 3+ years of experience working in an agile environment with preference to an Enterprise Agile Framework such as SAFe.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and follow-up communication skills.
  • Able to anticipate, identify, and resolve problems.
