About The Position
Meta is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineering Manager to join the Storage team. As a leader in the tech industry, we are looking for someone who can drive innovation, collaboration, and technical proven experience in the field of highly performant distributed storage systems.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management and managing engineers
- 12+ years, or PhD + 8 years, of software engineering work experience, including technical management
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years managing managers, 5+ years managing technical teams
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers to deliver highly performant and highly available distributed storage systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams/customers such as Ads Infra, Video Infra and MSL to drive technical vision
- Develop and implement technical strategies to achieve business objectives
- Foster a work environment of continuous learning, growth, and improvement
