About The Position

As a Manager of Software Engineering - AI, you will play a pivotal role in leading your teams with a focus on technical guidance and leadership. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of accountability and curiosity, encouraging your team to explore new technologies and methodologies while addressing complex issues within set timelines. Your extensive experience in building and delivering highly scalable full-stack applications will be crucial, as will your ability to mentor high-performance teams. This position specifically involves leading the development of Generative AI-enabled applications, making your practical experience in this area particularly valuable. In this role, you will provide leadership across multiple projects, ensuring that software engineering excellence and best practices are upheld. You will collaborate with teams of individual contributors to build web applications, which includes creating new applications, implementing significant product updates, and maintaining our existing portfolio. Your technical solutions will be designed to be leveraged across various business units and domains, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our software offerings. You will actively engage in coding, participate in pair programming, lead code and architecture reviews, and develop comprehensive solution design documents. Your expertise will be essential in resolving complex technical issues, and you will stay abreast of the latest advancements in technology, particularly in AI, to explore opportunities for integration into our applications. Managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring compliance with business requirements will also be key aspects of your role. You will work closely with product, engineering, SRE, and other leadership teams to ensure effective integration of solutions, overseeing their planning, development, execution, and support. Your influence will extend to peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams, as you implement best practices for application security and compliance with data privacy regulations. Additionally, you will manage full-time individual contributors, facilitating their career development through mentorship and identifying training opportunities.
