About The Position

The Role: Defines and leads Cyber Security strategy for new technology, highly complex features, or significant improvements for current, new, or major programs. Provide technical leadership to execution teams for development and integration. Stays abreast of new security technology and competitive products and defines GM direction. Provide, communicate, and support common best practices among the Cyber Security community. Performs other related duties as assigned. Actively participates in hiring, development of technical questionnaires, resume reviews and performs interviews. Participates in project eligible for patent application. As a strategic and technical leader, you will work cross-functionally to build high-performing teams that deliver measurable results. Your focus will be both technical and people-centric, driving everything from developing junior engineers into promoted leaders to enterprise platform technology transformations. What You'll do: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of security engineers and technical program managers. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Define and execute the roadmap for authentication services in partnership with enterprise architecture and security leadership. Ensure authentication services are scalable, reliable, and aligned with GM’s cybersecurity standards. Identify and implement opportunities to improve user experience while maintaining a high security posture. Collaborate with IT, product, infrastructure, and application development teams to ensure secure integration of authentication capabilities. Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on identity and access security topics.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of modern identity and service architectures (cloud, hybrid, zero trust)
  • Experience managing large-scale technical programs and teams across multiple time zones
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
