About The Position

The Manager of Social Media Marketing at Oriental Trading Company is responsible for developing and managing key innovation channels to enhance the company's brand portfolio. This role involves overseeing the social media marketing team, managing various marketing channels, and driving customer growth through strategic vision and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The position requires a focus on brand priorities, voice, and KPIs while adapting to new trends and customer channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three to eight years of progressive experience in Marketing and Social Media
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to turn ideas and strategy into a clearly managed plan
  • Strong team building, organizational, communication and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and creatively under pressure
  • Ability to analyze campaign performance and provide recommendations and action plans
  • Proficient in both Macintosh and PC environments, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint software

Responsibilities

  • Lead digital ad planning calendar for growth tactics such as display, CTV and new innovation channels across portfolio brands
  • Manage a team of 3-5 direct reports; ensure deadlines are met and team is set up with growth and learning opportunities
  • Lead campaign team to ensure key marketing stories are being created for innovation channels and align with brand testing strategies
  • Knowledge share with creative partners to gain collaborative learnings and establish best practices
  • Partner with the CRM and Acquisition team to execute key tests, collaborate on audiences, and allocation of daily/weekly budgets
  • Develop new tactics to reach customers through new channels and tactics to push the portfolio of brands into the future
  • Evangelize a 'test & learn' mindset with internal and external partners
  • Drive the effectiveness of campaign performance using established and ad-hoc reporting and quickly incorporate learning into corrective action
  • Run point on new tactics such as new social platform launches, influencer marketing, and other channels as needed
  • Maintain process and organization to be able to easily pivot as well as share plans with cross-functional teams
