Manager, Site Contracts Management
About The Position
This role is part of the larger Site Contracts Management (SCM) group that is accountable for the execution of Clinical Trial Agreements between Biogen and Study Sites governing the conduct of clinical trials. The SCM group works in close collaboration with both internal and external partners to fulfill group goals. The Manager, SCM provides strategic study level support to ensure a best in class approach to site contract management for Phase I – IV clinical trials and scientific research collaborations. The Manager, SCM provides support at the study planning stage, as well as throughout the lifecycle of a clinical trial through development of strategy and maintaining oversight of Biogen’s Strategic Partner & Legacy CROs to ensure compliant and timely execution of site contracts. The Manager, SCM will provide in-house site contract development and negotiation support. The Manager, SCM may also support the Senior Managers, SCM in their program lead responsibilities. The Manager, SCM responsibilities may include the functional management of FSP Site Contract Managers and the development and maintenance of all processes and guidelines along with CRO relationship management with a specific focus on site agreements. Business needs within the SCM group may require the Manager, SCM to take on other site contract related supporting activities to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of SCM group (e.g. direct management of trials where a non-strategic partner / preferred provider CRO is engaged and management of contracts related to Investigator Initiated Trials and Scientific Research Collaborations).
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry within the site contracting outsourcing space and fully proficient in project management and site contract and budget negotiation and execution across Phase I-IV clinical trials
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic study level support to ensure a best in class approach to site contract management for Phase I – IV clinical trials and scientific research collaborations.
- Provide support at the study planning stage, as well as throughout the lifecycle of a clinical trial through development of strategy and maintaining oversight of Biogen’s Strategic Partner & Legacy CROs to ensure compliant and timely execution of site contracts.
- Provide in-house site contract development and negotiation support.
- Support the Senior Managers, SCM in their program lead responsibilities.
- Functional management of FSP Site Contract Managers and the development and maintenance of all processes and guidelines along with CRO relationship management with a specific focus on site agreements.
- Take on other site contract related supporting activities to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of SCM group (e.g. direct management of trials where a non-strategic partner / preferred provider CRO is engaged and management of contracts related to Investigator Initiated Trials and Scientific Research Collaborations).
