About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall day-to-day EME operations at Denver International Airport and acts as liaison between Epic Mountain Express/Vail Resorts and the various DEN administration departments. The Airport Operations Manager is responsible for the success of the department as a line of business including revenue generation, protection and cost control. Critical focus is required to create and manage dynamic operational systems intended to serve our guests, including physical and digital interactions at multiple touchpoints within the airport. Further focus is required on the development and training of all airport staff. This position will directly lead and influence their teams to provide exemplary guest service and drive financial results through an employee engagement-focused management style.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Resume demonstrating customer service experience required
  • Resume demonstrating logistics management preferred.
  • English fluency required. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Resume demonstrating experience with staff leadership & development, coaching & progressive discipline and staff training.
  • Experience with staff scheduling, payroll and departmental budgets.
  • Strong Microsoft business computer skills required demonstrate proficiency in adopting new computer skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage operational plans for all scheduled departures, luggage transfers, private charters, and flight diversions.
  • Responsible for the management and performance of all Epic Mountain Express employees based at DEN and for all driving staff while on site at DEN.
  • Identify the necessary headcount to meet departmental goals and partner in the recruiting and hiring of these employees.
  • Develop and implement training programs for all positions in the department with focus on employee development and succession.
  • Responsible for creating and managing the DEN labor budget. Responsible for achieving annual and strategic department goals, through effective labor and expense management in support of budget and forecast.
  • Provide a high level of attention on guest satisfaction results. Create and manage service recovery programs within the department focusing on these results and ensure that all managers and supervisors are developed and trained in proper service recovery.
  • Plan, attend and actively participate in team and management meetings, including the DEN Airport Ground Transportation meetings, fostering professional relationships.
  • Work with other Lead Operations Managers to create and set consistent policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
