About The Position

We are growing our team! As part of Bayer's commitment to delivering innovative solutions in consumer health, you will actively participate in the continuous business planning process, focusing on category management strategies and initiatives. You will plan, develop, and conduct presentations alongside the Bayer customer. Your expertise will lead the team in adapting and executing holistic health and wellness solutions, focusing primarily on key retailers. You will drive the ongoing identification of customer and channel shopper insight issues and opportunities. Your role is pivotal in identifying business opportunities based on retailer and shopper insights, developing category plans, influencing planograms, and leading "test and learn" concepts with customers. You will utilize customer POS data, syndicated data, and industry information to support existing initiatives and explore new opportunities. Additionally, you will conduct ongoing category reviews, monitor competitive activity, and develop a high-performing team through coaching and mentoring.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience; MBA desirable;
  • Experience in supporting or leading a Walmart Category Advisorship;
  • Must reside in the Northwest Arkansas Market;
  • Clear understanding of syndicated, panel and retailer data (e.g. Scintilla, Circana, Numerator, etc);
  • Strong working knowledge of the category management process;
  • Ability to manage personnel through multi-task functions and multiple projects.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Category Management, Sales, Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing, or Shopper Research in the consumer-packaged goods industry;
  • 2-4 years of Field/HQ Category Management or Customer Marketing or Sales Strategy experience;
  • Exposure to all trade classes;
  • Excellent financial management skills to assess programs and cost investments versus results;
  • Superior analytical ability with an understanding of impact;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to encourage innovation and risk-taking;
  • Strong analytical skills and comfortability with digital programs and platforms, including MS Office skills;
  • Thorough knowledge of digital strategy development, channels, and measurement/analytics

Responsibilities
