About The Position

The Manager of Sexual Assault Services plays a critical leadership role in overseeing programs dedicated to supporting survivors of sexual assault. This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of compassionate, trauma-informed care and advocacy services that empower survivors and promote healing. The manager will develop, implement, and evaluate service strategies to meet community needs while maintaining compliance with legal and ethical standards. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, community partners, and stakeholders is essential to enhance service accessibility and effectiveness. Ultimately, this role aims to create a safe, supportive environment that fosters survivor resilience and advances prevention efforts within the community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, public health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working directly with survivors of sexual assault or in related advocacy roles.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a social services or nonprofit environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and sexual assault crisis intervention.
  • Familiarity with relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to sexual assault services.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, public health, or a related discipline.
  • Certification as a Sexual Assault Counselor or Advocate.
  • Experience managing grant-funded programs and preparing detailed reports for funders.
  • Strong background in community organizing and public education on sexual violence prevention.
  • Bilingual abilities or experience working with diverse cultural populations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of sexual assault services programs, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed care and advocacy.
  • Supervise, train, and support a multidisciplinary team of counselors, advocates, and support staff to maintain professional standards and promote staff well-being.
  • Develop and implement program policies, procedures, and protocols in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, healthcare providers, legal professionals, and community organizations to facilitate comprehensive support for survivors.
  • Monitor program outcomes through data collection and analysis to inform continuous improvement and reporting to funding agencies.
  • Conduct community outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness about sexual assault prevention and available services.
  • Manage budgets, grant applications, and resource allocation to sustain and expand program capacity.
