About The Position

2ndWave LLC (2ndWave) is seeking a senior accounting and controls consultant to provide services to existing Federal clients in the Washington, DC area. The Manager/Senior Manager, Accounting and Controls should have comprehensive knowledge of and experience with the current Federal financial environment, including applicable regulations, requirements, and existing solutions.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience (Manager level) or 12 years of experience (Senior Manager level) in federal financial accounting and controls.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in leading/managing teams on FMFIA, A-123, audit readiness, and FFMIA projects.
• Familiarity with data analytics and artificial intelligence and their use in assessing and improving internal controls.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• W-2 employment only.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Public Accountants (CPA) certification.
• Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to existing Federal clients in the Washington, DC area.
• Lead/manage teams on FMFIA, A-123, audit readiness, and FFMIA projects.
• Conceptualize and write reports/deliverables that synthesize a wide array of information.
• Provide sound, thoughtful, and supportable recommendations.
