About The Position

Nellis Auction (Nellis or the “Company”), headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, is a middle-market, direct-to-consumer marketplace providing efficient liquidation services for returned and overstock inventory. Nellis sources goods through major retailer and wholesaler relationships and operates nine locations with over 1,500 employees. Driven by these advantages, Nellis has experienced exponential revenue growth in recent years, with significant growth expected to continue. The Manager/Senior Analyst - FP&A will contribute to Nellis' overall success by ensuring that finance drives excellent financial controls and insights to impact the business. This role will assist the month-end financial review process, budgeting/forecasting and business insights. This position will report directly to the Director of FP&A and will support the CFO/other senior leaders in a pivotal role for Nellis’ exponential growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred
  • 6+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance or related roles
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills including data visualization
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in automating data sets for financial use
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and business operations
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and present findings clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences

Responsibilities

  • Drive month-end financial review process including management reporting and P&L insights
  • Assist in annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes
  • Perform variance analysis and generate data insights to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
  • Ability to automate existing monthly reporting processes and large datasets for regular use
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial and operational performance
  • Collaborate with both international and cross-functional teams to support various business initiatives and projects
