About The Position

HPE is looking for a dynamic leader to drive growth and innovation in the Cybersecurity and SASE space. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing presales team, shape strategic direction, and make a significant impact on customer success and company performance. The leader will manage a team of presales professionals specializing in Cybersecurity and SASE solutions. Responsible for setting strategic direction, managing deliverables, and achieving revenue and expense objectives within the Cybersecurity portfolio. Resolves complex customer challenges related to security architecture and contributes to overall customer satisfaction. Represents the assigned area to all levels of sales and company leadership. Builds strategic executive relationships with external clients and internally within the organization, partnering with internal and external resources to deliver best-in-class secure networking solutions. Oversees team performance, fosters technical excellence, and develops talent to meet evolving security market demands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10–12+ years of experience in security-focused sales or presales roles.
  • Proven success in managing teams supporting complex cybersecurity and SASE solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve quota and strategic objectives in security markets.
  • Cybersecurity Expertise – Deep understanding of SASE architecture, Zero Trust principles, threat intelligence, and compliance frameworks.
  • Business Management – Strategic planning, budget control, and operational improvement.
  • Consultative Selling – Ability to position security solutions to C-level executives; strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Directs overall Presales operations for Cybersecurity and SASE solutions in assigned regions.
  • Resource Management & Regional Support – Translates security business goals into actionable presales utilization plans aligned with threat landscape and compliance requirements.
  • Coverage Optimization – Proactively addresses presales coverage gaps for security opportunities; leverages technical expertise to win strategic deals.
  • Partnering with Sales & Account Planning – Engages in driving security-focused sales strategies; collaborates with sales leadership to prioritize resources for high-value security opportunities; monitors pipeline to ensure timely presales engagement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Influences product design and roadmap by providing “voice-from-the-field” insights on security trends, customer pain points, and compliance needs.
  • Continuously monitors and improves presales operations to align with cybersecurity business objectives, ensuring quality practices and high team motivation.
  • Demonstrates strong business, financial, and regulatory acumen to position the value of secure networking and SASE solutions.
  • Understands client risk posture and compliance requirements to tailor security solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
  • Coaches team through complex security solution selling; manages performance and results of high and low performers.
  • Facilitates collaboration across geographically dispersed security presales teams; drives innovation in secure architecture design and zero-trust adoption.
  • Anticipates emerging security skill requirements (e.g., Zero Trust, CASB, SWG, ZTNA); sponsors training and certifications to maintain technical excellence.
  • Articulates company’s cybersecurity and SASE vision to customers, influencing strategic account decisions.
  • Coaches team on applying consultative techniques to position security solutions as business enablers; differentiates company offerings from competitors in areas like threat prevention, secure cloud access, and compliance.
  • Builds business cases linking security investments to risk reduction, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
