About The Position

The Manager of Security Operations at ServiceSource is responsible for providing technical and administrative support to ensure the quality and integrity of client security programs. This role involves overseeing a security management system for the U.S. Census Bureau's Office of Security, including access control, badge production, and security record management. The manager will lead a team, coordinate security operations, and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of personnel security experience within a government agency is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 Background Investigation with Inquires (NACI).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and adequate time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to operate security services equipment such as computers, databases, and digital fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

  • Independently plans, directs, and prioritizes multiple projects and tasks to meet the goals of the Office of Security (OSY).
  • Supervises Security Assistant personnel and leads Security Services support function operations.
  • Coordinates and oversees all aspects of administrative security support; plans and coordinates production assignments.
  • Develops and maintains filing systems and performs quality control to fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Works closely with customer security leads to determine effective solutions for OSY security requirements.
  • Maintains office calendar, coordinates/schedules meetings, and records senior level meeting minutes.
  • Articulates the OSY mission to customers, associates, and senior staff; provides timely and accurate information.
  • Sets and implements internal and external quality requirements to ensure products/services meet OSY expectations.
  • Monitors various case management systems for OSY cases and assigns investigations to Security Specialists.
  • Performs quality control of data entries to verify accurate biographical and security data entries.
  • Assists the OSY Emergency Management Team during exercises or actual events.
  • Applies knowledge of quality control processes to implement multi-layered quality control methods.
  • Enforces and monitors policy changes provided by the customer and alerts officials in emergencies.
  • Answers telephone calls, takes messages, and provides appropriate information.
  • Plans, coordinates, trains, motivates, monitors, and evaluates performance of Security Assistants.
  • Assists in implementing rehabilitation plans of assigned employees and coordinates with Rehabilitation Counselor.
  • Participates in the employee evaluation process and provides input as needed.
  • Maintains clean and safe work areas throughout the workday.
