As a member of the IT Management Team, you are responsible for managing, developing, and leading a team of employees. Your role includes leading the specific functional responsibilities of your team, which involves overseeing team performance and deliverables. However, your role as a leader within our organization requires more than the management of resources and day-to-day operations. As a steward of the company, you are charged with the development and execution of your team's strategic vision and plan and ensuring that your team's actions align with the larger goals of the company and the IT Division.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team of Quality Assurance and Quality Engineers.
  • Facilitate and maintain the overall SAP Global Finance Quality Assurance strategy.
  • Manage the QA & automation resource needs within the workstream portfolio.
  • Define and manage the QA & automation roadmap.
  • Govern and improve the Quality Assurance and automation process.
  • Drive compliance, improve quality, and ensure reporting consistency across different teams.
  • Incorporate experience and skills to partner in the development and implementation of automated test strategies.
  • Communicate and model the values and guiding principles of the company culture.
  • Encourage different approaches and ideas to work and accomplish goals.
  • Collaborate across various IT teams to advance cross-functional projects.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with business customers.
  • Lead a team that balances and delivers on strategic Finance projects.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on Quality Assurance and IT Automation industry trends.
  • Drive the development of the automated test engineering strategy.
  • Ensure IT Security and Compliance guidelines are understood and enforced.
  • Maintain a solid resource and capacity plan.
  • Execute against approved projects and meet dates in support of scheduled application releases.
  • Mentor and develop a top-performing QA/QE team.
  • Own the QA/QE roadmap and prioritize multiple projects efficiently.
  • Complete 30-day and 90-day reviews for new hires and annual performance reviews for team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years technical leadership experience.
  • 1 - 3 years QA and/or QE experience.
  • 5+ years' experience with SAP applications.
  • Proven track record of strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Engineer roles and responsibilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of effective QA and QE methodology, practices, and SDLC.
  • Solid understanding of the Automation First framework and processes.
  • Experience onboarding and managing contractors (onsite and offshore).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and budget.
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a crisis situation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; proven ability to work well with people at all levels.
  • Scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the business.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with accounting applications and concepts preferred.
  • Experience with Kanban and Waterfall methodologies preferred.
  • Experience in leading QA and automation teams in support of large scale, multi-application systems.
  • Strong technical experience related to all forms of software testing and quality assurance.
  • Experience in the use of test automation tools and best practices.
  • Experience with Tricentis Tosca is a plus.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace applications.
