About The Position

The Manager, Sampling Operations in our Commercial Operations organization is responsible for overseeing the sample operations function within the Commercial Operations team for all Lundbeck US sampling operations. This role also supports alliance partner direct-to-practitioner sample programs along with additional commercial operations. The individual will work closely with key personnel including Sample Compliance, Sales, Marketing, Analytics, and Alliance Partners to ensure effective sample operations. Key responsibilities include managing sampling activities related to onboarding and offboarding field personnel, maintaining sample warehouse inventory levels, processing sample orders, and ensuring accurate reporting and communications. The Manager will also provide support related to vendor management, contracting, applicable SOPs, and budget management. In this role, the Manager will closely collaborate with the Associate Director of Commercial Operations and the Sample Management vendor to ensure compliance with all applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs), laws, and regulations governing sample programs. A strong customer focus is essential when working with field personnel to identify and resolve issues related to Lundbeck applications, such as Veeva CRM and customer master, as they pertain to sampling activities. The Manager will ensure that all new home office and field personnel complete necessary training and are certified to receive or offer samples during the onboarding process. Additionally, the Manager will coordinate cross-functional activities for sample allocations during sample order cycles and monitor sample inventory levels. The role requires the Manager to provide quarterly sample program reports to the Commercial Operations Manager, investigate and reconcile field questions related to healthcare practitioners' sample eligibility status, and support Direct to Physician (DTP) sampling programs. The Manager will also monitor and manage third-party vendors for compliance with SOPs and quality of output while ensuring that all activities are within defined budgetary and inventory level restrictions. Continuous identification of opportunities to streamline or enhance processes and applications to support sampling operations is also a key aspect of this position. The Manager will represent Sample Operations at stakeholder meetings to establish and influence strategies and deliverables.
