About The Position

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Manager, Retail Pharmacist reports to an Associate Director, and will compound and dispense medications and other pharmaceuticals. As the Manager, Retail Pharmacist, you will prepare and maintain all necessary records on prescriptions, patient charges and inventory. Your Job Responsibilities Include: Provide information to the staff members on drugs and pharmaceuticals. Interact with the patients. Advise executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks. Use independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action. Strong relationship building and provider relations. Requirements

  • PharmD or Registered Pharmacist
  • Must have an active unrestricted license with the Texas Board of Pharmacy without disciplinary action.
  • New graduates with intern Pharmacist experience are invited to apply
  • Immunization Certification
  • BLS/CPR Certification
  • Proficient using MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, and ability to learn new systems such as cash register, patient CRM, etc.
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/CenterWell's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role you will be required to be screened for TB.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year post license Pharmacist experience.
  • 2 years project leadership, and or team lead experience.
  • 2 years management experience which may include hiring, training, coaching and up to termination.
  • Ambulatory Care experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Any employee who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.
