Requirements

  • BS or Pharm D College of Pharmacy
  • Current Texas Pharmacy license
  • 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience
  • Communication – able to communicate with Pharmacy Department personnel to delegate duties, inform about policies, train, assist with performance appraisals, and approve refunds/expense/returns
  • Excellent customer service skills and be able to serve as role model for excellent customer service
  • Ability to operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions
  • Stress Tolerance – able to make appropriate decisions and accurately process prescriptions in a high stress environment
  • Professional Appearance
  • Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

  • BCLS
  • Immunization Certification
  • Pharmacy Preceptor Certification
  • Experience as pharmacist-in-charge
  • HMO and 3rd party managed care experience

Responsibilities

  • Manages retail pharmacy operations for designated site.
  • Responsible for achievement of customer service, clinical initiative objectives, financial objectives, and regulatory compliance including serving as pharmacist-in-charge; adherence to professional practices and Kelsey- Seybold Clinic (KSC) and Kelsey Pharmacy policies and procedures, and management of all assigned personnel including students
  • Manages pharmacy personnel, provision of services, inventory, and overall profitability
  • Performs all duties of a registered pharmacist including accurate dispensing and counseling of prescriptions to customers
