About The Position

The Manager, Retail Operations interfaces and consults with qualified patients and caregivers, and administers approved medical marijuana products. The Manager, Retail Operations oversees all activities related to the operation of the Dispensing Facility to include patient identification and registration, record retention, product tracking, and inventory control, team leadership/management and all compliance and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience at a management administrative level.
  • 3 years of experience managing a retail operation.
  • Hands-on responsibility for the full scope of human resources activities.
  • Passionate about handling all aspects of a retail operation.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills in a high growth environment.
  • Operations management experience including production oversight.
  • Excellent consulting, conflict management, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with all Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program rules and regulations governing the Act.
  • Directly supervises the activity within the dispensary including staff training and education.
  • Provides management and leadership in the Dispensing Facility, monitoring all point of sale transactions.
  • Manages patient-specific logs, inventory receipt, storage, auditing, and ordering new inventory.
  • Resolves all inventory discrepancies and patient-staff conflicts.
  • Develops the Dispensing Facility's privacy policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with HIPAA.
  • Acts as a liaison between staff, dispensary management, and external entities such as law enforcement.
  • Directs and monitors department managers to accomplish operational goals.
  • Establishes methods to follow the operating plan in compliance with public health law.
  • Manages policies for retesting of returned products and reporting requirements for adverse events.
  • Implements security systems for tracking and record-keeping of products.
  • Develops a company culture emphasizing quality, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
  • Implements HR policies and programs to minimize risk.
  • Conducts investigations and responds to employee relation issues.
  • Creates organizational development and employee training programs.
  • Conducts performance reviews and monitors employee productivity.
  • Implements HR related software systems in collaboration with IT.
  • Recruits and retains top quality staff and manages talent acquisition.
  • Builds a quality assurance program tied to performance reviews.
  • Develops compensation and benefit programs to motivate and reward performance.
  • Maintains facilities conducive to enhancing employee productivity.
  • Provides company-wide communication and manages change.
