About The Position

CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, part of CommonSpirit Heath, a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood, Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care, assisted and residential living communities, community health services organizations, home health agencies, and numerous outpatient facilities. Job Summary and Responsibilities Provides direction and leadership for a clinical service, including planning, coordinating and fiscal management; promotes a working environment which facilitates collaboration and professional growth of staff; provides cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing and therapeutic treatment for patients of all ages with cardiopulmonary disorders and supervises care provided by staff. Practices within the Scope established by the ND State Board of Respiratory Care and according to physician orders and established policies/ procedures. This position supports the mission, vision and philosophy of CHI and St. Alexius Health Dickinson Medical Center. Responsible for management of assigned department including budget development and management, goal-setting, recruitment and retention of staff, performance management, etc. Creates and fosters an environment of positive customer service through programming, education training and role modeling the behavior within the department. Performance Improvement, Information Reporting and Physician Relations Effectively delivers patient care in a caring and respectful manner, using the Respiratory/Nursing process Demonstrates competencies in the performance of selected skills and knowledge on an annual basis.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Three (3) years of Leadership Experience
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner: North Dakota (RESP-LIC:ND)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
