The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Psychiatry has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Manager, Research Support to work in Miami, FL. The Manager, Research Support provides grant application and management support to facilitate research. Further the Manager, Research Support oversees laboratory facility and research operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with applicable regulations. Manager, Research Support for the Firefighter Cancer Initiative (FCI) provides operational, administrative, and supervisory leadership for one of Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center’s flagship statewide programs focused on cancer prevention, early detection, and occupational exposure research among firefighters. The Manager ensures smooth execution of all research, clinical, and field-based activities, oversees regulatory compliance, supervises staff, and maintains the infrastructure required to support multiple complex, multi-site projects. This position serves as a critical liaison to fire service partners, internal stakeholders, and funding agencies and plays a key role in advancing the program’s impact and growth. Furthermore, the Manager, Research Support provides guidance and mentorship to FCI team members to encourage operational efficacy across all research projects.
