Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company Join BILL as a Manager, Research Operations and build the engine that powers world-class insights at scale. You’ll lead the reinvention of Research Operations for a growing organization—enabling our integrated Research team as well as Product Managers and Designers to bring the voice of customers into every decision. If you’re energized by designing systems that make research faster, safer, and more impactful, this role is for you. You’ll shape the strategy, team, and tooling that connect researchers with the right customers, processes, and platforms. Partnering closely with legal, finance, security, product, and design, you’ll define how research gets done—from participant access and governance to data stewardship and metrics—so BILL teams can move with clarity and confidence. This is a high-visibility leadership role with the mandate to scale operations and raise the bar for customer-centric decision making.

Requirements

  • 3+ years supporting research functions in a high-growth, global tech company.
  • 1+ years building and leading Research Operations teams, including hiring and performance management.
  • Proven experience partnering with legal, finance, and security on tooling, vendor management, governance, and budgets.
  • Demonstrated success owning an operations roadmap and balancing near-term delivery with long-term scale.
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills - up/down/across organization; ability to simplify complexity and drive alignment across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing ResOps team.
  • Develop and own a Research Operations roadmap; prioritize and resource strategic initiatives to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Reimagine core ResOps initiatives, including: participant access & incentives; vendor/tooling strategy; research infrastructure; workflow automation; governance; and compliance. Oversee automation & AI transformation efforts within Research and identify opportunities across the broader R&D / VOC group.
  • Establish Research Programs to empower and equip Product Managers, Designers and Product Marketing Managers to improve customer understanding and directly conduct focused sets of research via self service mechanisms.
  • Establish efficient workflows that integrate research into the marketing and product development lifecycle; reduce friction for researchers and participants.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Research leadership; translate needs into scalable programs, policies, and service levels.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships (legal, finance, security, design, product, product marketing, GTM, product ops) to align on standards, budgets, and risk management.
  • Define and report operational metrics; continuously improve efficiency, quality, and researcher/stakeholder satisfaction.
