Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from a University program satisfying the AOTA Academic and intern requirements for competence, valid Florida State license.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from a University program satisfying the APTA Academic and intern requirements for competence, valid Florida State license.
  • Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a University program satisfying the ASHA Academic and intern requirements for competence, valid Florida State license.
  • BLS certified through the AHA.
  • English verbal and written fluency
  • Minimum of four (4) years of management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manager of Rehab Services is responsible for the effective and efficient flow of daily workloads.
  • He/she must be competent to function in the absence of the Director while maintaining all safety, regulatory and fiscal responsibilities.
  • This individual must have excellent communication skills and keep the Director informed of all issues within the department.
  • This individual must be competent in all aspects of proper charges and record management.
  • This individual must possess excellent knowledge for providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of performance components affecting functioning and to provide goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum level of independence to clients suffering from disability, disease or injury, as well as the ability to assist and direct other therapy personnel in daily job duties.
  • This individual supervises Therapists, Therapist Assistants and students.
  • This person assists with the performance evaluations on the other therapists, assists in hiring and mentoring other Therapists.
  • Responsible for developing programs in all areas of Rehab.
  • Participates in the fiscal responsibility of the department.
