The Manager of Regulatory Affairs at Capital Health is responsible for overseeing organizational and programmatic activities related to regulatory compliance with various governing bodies. This role involves managing continuous survey readiness, serving as a resource for staff regarding regulatory requirements, and leading the development of corrective action plans to ensure compliance. The position requires collaboration with department heads to achieve accreditations and certifications, as well as managing data collection and submission for external surveys.

  • Manage organizational and department activities for regulatory surveys by external agencies such as NJ/PA Department of Health, CMS, DNV, ISO-9001, OSHA, and DEP.
  • Collaborate with Department Heads to ensure success in achieving accreditations, certifications, and re-certifications.
  • Ensure preparation and ongoing readiness related to regulatory standards compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and manage process changes to ensure compliance.
  • Develop comprehensive and accurate responses to regulatory reports, citations, non-conformities, and requirements for improvement.
  • Manage data collection and submission for external surveys such as Leapfrog.
  • Prepare gap analyses and recommend detailed plans for improvement.
  • Develop tracking tools and mechanisms to measure regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a resource for teams seeking new certifications and accreditations.
  • Plan for and manage on-site surveys, ensuring smooth operations during visits.
  • Master of Science in Nursing or a related field.
  • Two or more years working in the area of regulatory affairs is preferred.
  • Experience with project management and supporting teams to improve acute care hospital structures and processes.
  • Knowledge of DNV, ISO-9001, CMS, and NJ/PA Department of Health standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and support multiple teams simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Leap Frog survey activities and Policy Stat.
  • Familiarity with the submission of New Jersey Department of Health Novi-Surveys and Leapfrog Surveys.
