About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for acting as the primary liaison between the brewery and its distributors. This role focuses on coaching, training, and developing a sales team while overseeing sales representative activities. The RSM will collaborate with wholesale partners to achieve market-specific objectives, enhance distribution, and attract new customers. Additionally, the position involves managing a designated geographic region through effective planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and executing sales and marketing strategies via the distributor network and field sales team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales or Promotions in the beverage/alcohol industry preferred.
  • Certified Beer Server or Certified Cicerone preferred.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team of sales professionals.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to generate and deliver sales presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in Business Trade Math.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the beverage/alcohol industry
  • Certified Beer Server or Certified Cicerone

Responsibilities

  • Establish distribution, display, feature ad, retail promotion, and space management objectives for effective brand presentation.
  • Communicate recommendations to management for brand development, sales growth, and distributor effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and communicate with management, distributors, and sales representatives for program execution.
  • Track metrics such as sales, distribution, and display, providing timely performance reports.
  • Manage operating systems for Ordering and Inventory Management, Quality Control, and Pricing Management.
  • Identify leads, manage prospects, and grow points of distribution.
  • Participate in events like samplings and craft beer educational presentations.
