About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is a pivotal role that serves as the primary liaison between the brewery and its distributors. This position focuses on coaching, training, and developing a sales team while managing an assigned geographic region. The RSM is responsible for executing sales and marketing plans through the distributor network and field sales team, aiming to enhance business development, increase distribution, and acquire new customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales or Promotions in the beverage/alcohol industry preferred.
  • Certified Beer Server or Certified Cicerone preferred.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team of sales professionals.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to generate and deliver sales presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in Business Trade Math.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the beverage/alcohol industry.
  • Certification in beer service or cicerone training.

Responsibilities

  • Establish distribution, display, feature ad, retail promotion, and space management objectives for effective brand presentation.
  • Communicate recommendations to management for brand development, sales growth, and distributor effectiveness.
  • Coordinate and communicate with management, distributors, and sales representatives for program execution.
  • Track metrics such as sales, distribution, and display, providing timely performance reports.
  • Manage operating systems for ordering, inventory management, quality control, and pricing.
  • Identify leads, manage prospects, and grow points of distribution.
  • Participate in events like samplings and craft beer educational presentations.
