About The Position

The Manager of Region Sales for the Southeast Region is responsible for developing the executional and strategic path for the sales team within the assigned territory. This role involves executive leadership of key accounts and leading the direction and productivity of district sales managers. The manager will lead the team to deliver new sales account acquisition across various markets including Wireless, 3PL, Broadband, Telco, and Enterprise. The position serves as the business leader and voice for Power & Tel throughout the assigned market, developing and expanding relationships with key suppliers and attending key trade shows.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of individual contributor sales experience.
  • 2-3 years of proven successful experience as a National Sales Manager, Territory Regional Sales Manager, and/or Business Development/Sales Leader.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to grasp technical details of product offerings and value-added services.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to lead and influence others with or without formal authority.
  • Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving approach.
  • Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and team management skills.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Attention to detail and creative thinking.
  • Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Get results through others.
  • Set high expectations and increase sales and gross production of sales staff.
  • Educate, motivate, and coach District Sales Managers (DSMs) primarily and Account Managers (AMs) secondarily.
  • Supervise to increase sales, gross profit, and control selling expenses.
  • Conduct joint sales calls to key customer and vendor partners, requiring approximately 70%+ travel.
  • Manage key vendor partners and develop strong working relationships.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in product promotions, training classes, and conventions.
  • Recommend sales goals, gross profit goals, and expense budgets for assigned DSMs.
  • Develop and recommend pricing strategies to stay relevant and win business.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations of direct reports.
  • Interview, hire, and train new DSMs.
  • Monitor travel and coach detailed, timely reporting of DSMs.
