Manager - Recreation
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Recreation to lead a large team in a fast paced outdoor pool and beach operation The Manager will oversee all aspects of daily operations and team duties for the Pool Beach and Bungalow areas This role involves coordinating daily routines and activities communicating effectively with the team regarding needs and expectations training and coaching team members as well as developing subordinate managers and supervisors The Manager will ensure guest satisfaction and maintain a safe and secure environment while also observing budgetary goals and resolving guest and team issues Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as well as all outdoor weather conditions
Requirements
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or recreation industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high performing team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Sound decision making and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously as well as outside working conditions
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors degree in Hospitality Management Recreation Management or related field preferred
Responsibilities

- Interview and recruit new team members
- Demonstrate strong communication skills during coaching and shift briefings
- Execute duties and delegations assigned by the Director of Recreation
