About The Position

Airgas is Hiring for a Quality, Safety and Training (QST) Manager in Twinsburg, OH! The Quality, Safety and Training (QST) Manager will oversee and develop the AES Quality Control (QC), Safety, and Training programs and initiatives. S/He will work closely with the AES Quality Specialist, AMG HSEQ Department, SAFECOR, and AES Leaders in this effort to achieve best in class performance in these areas. In Quality, the manager will review, refine, and create the department’s QC procedures, checklists, and systems for the equipment manufactured at the AES facility and by our third-party vendors. The role includes ensuring compliance with customer QC requirements, investigating performance gaps, and managing corrective actions. In Safety, the manager will promote a culture of Health and Safety excellence, ensure compliance with SAFECOR and AMG policies, and lead safety initiatives. In Training, the manager will ensure that AES training occurs and is documented, developing technical training modules and leveraging best practices from other departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline – Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience in the Industrial Gas industry.
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience managing industrial projects.
  • Highly skilled in project management tools/techniques.
  • Familiar with applications equipment using compression, refrigeration, purification, instrumentation, electrical, and controls.
  • Experience with industrial gases and equipment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite applications.
  • Some knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD preferred.
  • Demonstrates personal integrity and transparency.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with project stakeholders.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop the AES Quality Control (QC), Safety, and Training programs and initiatives.
  • Review, refine, and create QC procedures, checklists, and systems for equipment manufactured at the AES facility.
  • Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) at third-party vendors when required.
  • Investigate performance gaps and manage corrective actions.
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to track AES and vendor quality performance.
  • Ensure Airgas and regulatory compliance for welding and brazing operations.
  • Issue vendor non-conformance reports when required.
  • Train Engineering and Operations personnel on the QC process.
  • Promote a culture of Health and Safety excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with SAFECOR and AMG policies.
  • Identify critical activities and develop standard operating procedures and training programs.
  • Create and track quarterly Safety Improvement Plans (SIP).
  • Document Good Catches and Timeouts in the Intelex System.
  • Organize and document emergency drills.
  • Lead Safety Committee and organize monthly team safety meetings.
  • Ensure AES training occurs and is documented.
  • Develop AES technical training modules with Subject Matter Expert (SME) content.
