About The Position

This position provides management and expertise in the areas of quality, risk management, and patient safety as it relates to colleagues, medical staff, and inpatient and outpatient services for Saint Agnes Medical Center. This role leads and coordinates the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical process related to quality, risk management, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. , This position would be responsible for coordinating insurance coverage and risk financing, managing claims against the facility, interfacing with defense legal counsel, administering the risk management program on a day-to-day basis, managing and analyzing risk management data, conducting risk management educational programs, and complying with risk management related standards from regulatory bodies. The incumbent will leverage clinical information technology, process design, change management, and evidence-based leading practices to support optimal quality outcomes, improving patient safety and data-driven performance while minimizing loss to protect the assets of the facility. This position also supports specific initiatives related to external certification or recognition as reflected in the organization's strategic quality and safety priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing Health Administration, Business, or a related field is required. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment is required.
  • Five (5) years of clinical experience as an RN is required.
  • Five (5) years experience in Quality and Risk Management is required.
  • Three (3) years experience in a leadership role in quality and risk management is required.
  • Must be highly motivated, self-directed, and work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. Ability to present information in a confident, clear, concise, and articulate manner is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong organizational skills, presentation skills, team player, ability to influence change without direct authority, and advanced healthcare management skills.
  • Must have the ability to work under pressure with time constraints, including presenting to all associates in a respectful and professional manner as part of the ministry’s Core Values.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint, and various other computer software products is required.
