About The Position

Position Summary: This job leads to BFA’s success by directing the development, implementation and continuous improvement of quality assurance systems, standards and programs to ensure the delivery of safe, wholesome, premium quality products to our customers nationally. As a food safety director, this position is responsible to maintain produce suppliers compliance with company food safety policies and related food safety regulations. Develops, maintains, and verifies all produce related food safety policies and procedures. Models and acts in accordance with Bonduelle’s guiding principles. Requirements

  • 15+ years’ of supplier food safety experience in the food industry (produce experience preferred)
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint and Google Suite
  • Knowledge of (GFSI) Global Food Safety Initiative standards such as PrimusGFS and Global GAP
  • Knowledge of industry and regulatory requirements for fresh produce.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to analyze, understand and solve problems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Regular travel within Florida and east coast states (50% travel). Occasional travel throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico or other countries in the South America continent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
