About The Position

This a working-manager position within company Operations, responsible for managing ISO9001, TL9000 compliance and the corporate Quality Management System (QMS).

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a people manager, with responsibilities for department budget, recruiting and performance management.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience with Quality Management System and Quality Engineering experience.
  • Effective at interfacing with both technical and non-technical positions vertically and horizontally throughout the organization.
  • Have successfully obtained 3 <sup> rd </sup> party and maintained ISO9001 and/or TL9000 certification for one or more sites and business units.
  • Thorough understanding of ISO9001 standards.
  • Thorough understanding of continuous improvement theory and application to electronic manufacturing.
  • Hands on experience performing and facilitating root cause investigations (including 8D).
  • Must have exceptional skill at organizing tasks and efficiently managing their time.
  • Ability to define and document appropriate business processes clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills are a must.
  • BSQA, BSEE, BSET or BSME required.
  • Approx. 10% travel both domestic and international.
  • This is an exempt position, reporting to the Director of QMS.
  • Work location is San Jose, CA

Nice To Haves

  • TL9000 experience a plus.
  • Green or black belt experience helpful.
  • CQA, CQM, CQE or RAB certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare company for external certification or surveillance audits and manage interface with registrar in multiple company facilities.
  • Schedule, conduct and manage internal audits.
  • Train and manage a world-wide volunteer internal audit team.
  • Effectively manage company's Corrective and Preventive action process and drive effective resolution of issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and present QMS status at ISO management review meetings.
  • Document and track actions to closure.
  • Identify systemic issues, risks and negative trends that could impact company QMS.
  • Proactively work with various departments to drive effective solutions.
  • Generate and update written business process and procedures to support the QMS.
  • Lead process re-engineering where needed.
  • Prepare and conduct regular ISO/TL/QMS awareness training to help employees understand their role and responsibilities in supporting the quality system.
  • People management including hiring, budgets and performance management.
