The Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing all activities pertaining to the purchasing of goods and services for all operations of the property. This role involves creating an atmosphere that ensures guests choose Hard Rock Tejon for gaming entertainment, actively building and retaining guest relations, and mentoring team members to provide superior guest service. The Purchasing Manager analyzes markets and vendor conditions for quality, availability, and price of materials, develops and implements purchasing procedures, and manages the workflow of the department. Additionally, the manager leads the Purchasing Team in vendor negotiations, monitors requisition activity, ensures the Inventory Purchasing System is maintained, and evaluates the supplier community through meetings and product reviews. The role also includes preparing reports, managing workflow for buyers and purchasing clerks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
