About The Position

Responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of all staff in the Pulmonary Function Laboratories which provides testing at the main building, King of Prussia, Voorhees and all outpatient pulmonary physician practices, to achieve excellent patient and family experience and clinical outcomes. Demonstrates knowledge of the Health Care Environment. This includes setting of standards, development of systems, supervision of practice and employees, coordination of other disciplines and departments to achieve the mission and goals of the department and enterprise.

Requirements

  • At least five (5) years experience in the field of pulmonary function testing.
  • At least four (4) years supervisory/leadership experience
  • Respiratory Therapist (Pennsylvania)- Pennsylvania State Licensing Board upon hire
  • Osteopathic Respiratory Therapist (Pennsylvania) Pennsylvania State Licensing Board upon hire
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire
  • Registered Pulmonary Function Tech (RPFT) National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire
  • Excellent communication skills, excellent leadership ability, excellent judgment, self-motivated, independent thinker.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • At least three (3) years experience in the care of neonatal/pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes twenty-four hour accountability for department operations, to ensure care is equitable, timely, effective, efficient and safe.

  • Develops and manages annual operating budget for unit, managing financial resources to budget and educating team on financial implications of patient care decisions
  • Ensuring participation in educational programs to foster goal attainment to organization initiatives, competencies and harm prevention.
  • Creates the operational objectives, goals, and specific strategies required to achieve strategic outcome.
  • Use technology to support improvement of clinical and financial performance; identify technology trends, issues and new developments as they apply to patient care.
