About The Position

We’re looking for a Manager of Public Affairs and Marketing in Austin, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position, you’ll lead regional storytelling, market-level brand visibility, and community engagement strategies across campuses. This role is responsible for elevating the local profile of our providers and services, amplifying patient and program stories, and building strong external relationships that enhance awareness and support growth. The manager will partner with hospital leadership, clinical teams, and local stakeholders to ensure the organization is well-positioned, trusted, and visible in every community it serves. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing/advertising, journalism or related field required
• 8 years of experience in public affairs, marketing, media relations or community engagement experience required

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare, nonprofit or academic medicine experience preferred
• Bilingual communication experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes strategic public affairs and marketing plans to strengthen the organization’s presence across markets and campuses
• Partners with service line leaders and local executives to understand growth priorities and develop targeted marketing initiatives that increase awareness of key programs and services
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with community partners, civic organizations, advocacy groups, schools, and local leaders
• Monitors local issues and emerging trends that may impact the hospital’s reputation or community standing
• Develops high-quality content for local media, social platforms, community communications, and internal stakeholders
• Works closely with enterprise marketing, public affairs, digital, clinical, and operational teams to ensure alignment across markets
