  • Directly manage and lead complex IT projects for electric and gas utility clients from initiation through closeout.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations; monitor execution to ensure adherence to scope, timeline, and cost targets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, risk mitigation, and resolution of issues throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure alignment of project deliverables with regulatory requirements, business objectives, and technical standards within the utility sector.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for key clients, particularly on escalated issues or during major program transitions.
  • Guide project managers in managing stakeholder expectations, change requests, and communication strategies.
  • Support project managers in understanding and addressing utility-specific regulatory, operational, and technology requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on resource planning, pipeline forecasting, and strategic project staffing.
  • Contribute to the refinement of internal processes, knowledge sharing, and thought leadership development.
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal reviews, project scoping, and client presentations.
  • Ensure all projects follow the firm's standards for quality assurance, risk management, and compliance, particularly for clients in regulated utility environments.
  • Promote adherence to cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NERC CIP, FERC standards).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
  • A master's degree or advanced certifications (e.g., PMP, SAFe) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in the utility sector.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex multi-million-dollar IT/OT projects involving energy utility technologies, or advanced grid technologies.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct people management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of energy technologies, including utility operations and electric/gas grid infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project, Jira).
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NERC, ISO).
  • Exceptional leadership, people development, and decision-making skills with a track record of managing diverse teams.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to executive stakeholders.
