Now Brewing manager, project management! The manager, project management, contributes to Starbucks success by managing the planning, development, testing and implementation of large or highly complex programs or processes impacting the store environment and/or one or more business units. Manages or oversees programs to ensure they are on time and within budgets. Develops short- and long-term plans that are consistent with the needs and priorities of the business. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. As a manager, project management, you will Leadership - Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together: Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results. Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Company. Planning and Execution - Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results: Develops long-term strategies and plans including project charters, scope and audit plans. Forecasts resource requirements both internally and externally to ensure timeline success. Plans and manages business unit/department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives. Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization. Business Requirements - Providing functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities: Leads project teams and subteams to develop and implement new programs and process improvements. Develops project charter for prioritization and approval. Develops and monitors projects in accordance with Starbucks established program management methodologies. Ensures that multiple projects meet specified timelines and deliver expected results. Monitors and manages project and program schedules, progress and costs to ensure that expected results are delivered on time and within budget. Monitors and manages project plans as needed. Consolidates, communicates and ensures resolution of all issues. May develop and collect performance metrics. Negotiates and manages consultant contracts; ensures successful resolution of issues. Oversees the design, development, testing, rollout and audit of programs. Provides project oversight on all programs and projects. Represents business unit, department or functional area on cross-functional project teams. Provides functional expertise to assess potential financial and operational impact. Partner Development & Team Building - Providing partners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams: Challenges and inspires partners to achieve business results. Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews. Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements. Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions. If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
