About The Position
As a Manager of Project Management at Edwards Lifesciences, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our projects are executed efficiently and effectively across various departments, including Engineering, HR, Marketing, and IT. Your strategic mindset and innovative perspectives will be essential in driving the success of our projects, ultimately making a meaningful difference to patients around the world. You will be a trusted thought leader, responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and managing all aspects of projects to ensure their success. In this role, you will lead the execution of tasks as defined in the project management plan, actively managing project risks and ensuring that project goals are met. You will be tasked with determining detailed requirements for larger scale projects, establishing project deliverables, and managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs. Your ability to facilitate the creation and approval of business cases, while utilizing historical data and expert judgment, will be crucial in understanding project limitations. You will also actively lead one or more Project Management Office (PMO) continuous improvement activities, assessing project performance to monitor progress, identify variances, and perform corrective actions as necessary. Establishing and maintaining relationships with team members and project stakeholders will be key, as will managing project closure activities, including gathering lessons learned for future improvements. As a subject matter expert in project management, you will guide and mentor other project managers, demonstrating your expertise in business processes and project management methodologies.
