About The Position

Oversee the cost management program for the NOLA Project Design Office supporting capital project expansions for PT Freeport Indonesia. Manage a team responsible for preparing, analyzing, and presenting cost-related data and reports to project and portfolio stakeholders. Develop and improve cost management procedures, tools, and training. Provide portfolio-level cost reporting and maintain historical cost data. Collaborate with project controls, functional groups, and corporate stakeholders to ensure alignment. Mentor cost leads and analysts, and serve as a working Project Cost Lead as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field + 7 years of experience in project controls; OR
  • High school diploma or GED + 12 years of experience in engineering, construction, project controls, or business-related field; AND
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced project environment
  • Understanding of accounting functions and systems
  • Experience in cost control, estimating, forecasting, and reporting
  • Construction experience with awareness of safety practices
  • Experience with mining and/or heavy industrial construction projects
  • Domestic and International travel up to 15%
