About The Position

T1 Energy is bringing solar manufacturing back to the U.S. by building a domestic solar supply chain. Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. By the time you finish reading this paragraph, we will have produced two solar panels that will power American homes and fuel domestic AI. T1 is looking to hire a Project Controls Engineer that will own the schedule, cost tracking, reporting, and document control that keep large scale manufacturing and infrastructure projects structured and on track. You'll work as an integrated part of the project engineering team, supporting engineering, procurement, construction. Reporting to the Project Director, you will implement and manage project controls systems, track project performance, and provide data-driven insights to guide decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. This is a hands on role for someone who understands how projects run in the real world and knows how to balance rigor with speed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project controls, scheduling, or cost engineering.
  • Hands-on experience building and managing schedules for complex projects.
  • Strong cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.
  • Proficiency with scheduling and cost tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel).
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or industrial projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Build and track project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls, including earned value and variance analysis.
  • Monitor schedule and cost performance, identify risks ands trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Partner with project managers and engineers to validate assumptions, sequencing, and resource plans.
  • Support contractor and vendor schedule reviews and progress validation.
  • Improve project controls processes, tools, and standards as the company scales.
