About The Position

DP World Contract Logistics delivers tailored, scalable and progressive solutions to customers in more than 100 global locations. The company has managed supply chain synergies for global automotive and technology premier brands for more than 60 years. Our site at York provides advanced 3PL solutions to a premium Automotive brand and manages complex engineering services. We are looking for an experienced Production Manager for third shift, based in York, to plan, direct and coordinate the operations at the facility. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, and efficiency through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. Work hours for this role are Third shift hours- Monday-Thursday 7pm to 5:30am.

Requirements

• High school diploma, college preferred or equivalent experience
• 3-5 yrs of experience in a people management role (Supervisor or Above)
• Solid understanding of Production activities in an automotive environment
• Strong interpersonal skills (strong team builder/player)
• Strong leadership, problem solving, mentoring skills
• Knowledge of QS/ISO/Lean Manufacturing concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage, oversee adherence to company/ customer quality requirements
• Monitor production activities to ensure requirements are met
• Mentor, coach, motivate direct reports
• Control expenses - monitor workgroups/ areas to ensure cost initiatives are being met
• Develop/maintain solid customer relationships/open communication while working with peers/workgroups to resolve issues, develop continual improvements
• Other duties as assigned.
