About The Position

The primary responsibility is for the management of all production areas within United Linen Services (ULS). Assists the Director / General Manager in the development of long range planning for the optimum use of the department assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field OR seven (7) years of leadership experience.
  • Three (3) years laundry/linen experience in a management/supervisory capacity.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem solving skills.
  • Detailed knowledge concerning the operation of laundry/linen processing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assures that all daily needs for customers are handled in a proficient, expeditious manner.
  • Assures that all customers with problems or concerns are addressed and follow-up and resolution to the customer satisfaction.
  • Assists in development of the annual United Linen Services budget.
  • Assures that ULS adheres to all JCAHO, WV Dept. of Health, and service regulatory agencies requirements.
  • Assures that all linen equipment is maintained in a safe and highly functional condition.
  • Assists with the hiring and training; prepare work schedules and maintain adequate staffing.
  • Assures that all work assignments and time schedules maximize productivity and provide for adequate shift coverage.
  • Develop, implement, maintain control of programs including operation logs, production records, account records, weekly inspections, monthly summary, safety & systems, sanitation and infection control standards.
  • Assures that all Linen Services employees are evaluated for performance.
  • Assures that provisions and requirements of the Collective Bargaining Agreement are followed.
  • Assists in planning, developing and adding new facilities and services.
  • Develops annual production goals and objectives and submit to the Director / General Manager.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining Departmental Policies and Procedures. Assures compliance with all ULS policies and procedures (administrative and departmental).
  • Assists in developing and maintaining the strategy and direction of ULS with regard to issues such as customer service, inventory levels, linen usage patterns, staffing, etc
  • Meets/completes obligations (i.e., projects, meetings, deadlines, etc.) punctually and on time.
  • Serves on Ad Hoc linen usage committees, and other committees as requested by the director.
  • Makes sure all actions and decisions reflect a professional and ethical demeanor.
  • May be assigned direct responsibility for certain areas, projects or functions, which may change or very from time to time as situations warrant.
