About The Position

You will lead daily operations in our assembly department. You will oversee a team of operators and technicians, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. In this role, you will be responsible for team leadership, scheduling, process stability, and driving continuous improvement. By working closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and other departments, you will ensure that production goals regarding safety, quality, cost, and delivery are consistently achieved. This is a hands-on leadership position where you actively shape processes, empower your team, and contribute directly to the success of our site.

Requirements

  • Technical or trade background in plastics, manufacturing, assembly or a related field
  • Advanced training (e.g., process technician, supervisor, or journeyman level)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in assembly , with at least 2 in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of assembly processes , equipment, materials, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with production planning, team scheduling , and performance management
  • Proficient in MES/ERP systems and Microsoft Office
  • Good written and verbal communication in English

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth execution of daily assembly operations, meeting safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets
  • Monitor performance through KPIs and proactively drive process optimization and productivity improvements
  • Lead and develop your team through coaching, feedback, and performance management
  • Align and visualize production results at the shift level (e.g., performance boards, KPI reviews)
  • Ensure optimal staffing and qualification-based deployment of employees
  • Initiate and support actions related to staffing, restructuring, and disciplinary measures if required
  • Actively contribute to strategic and operational planning, including CAPEX and personnel budgets
  • Support audits and lead internal and external complaint handling
  • Participate in project initiatives related to standardization, investment, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with SCM, Facility Management, and Maintenance for preventive and corrective measures
  • Take responsibility for special projects and additional tasks as needed.
