About The Position

The Manager, Product Training & Education at The Toro Company is responsible for leading the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs for dealer channel partners and internal teams. This role combines leadership with hands-on involvement in creating training materials and technical documentation, ensuring high-quality educational resources are available. The position requires effective team management while actively participating in training initiatives to meet performance standards and foster team development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in training, education, or technical writing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven experience leading a team of professionals, including training designers and technical writers.
  • Hands-on experience designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs, preferably in a dealer or channel partner environment.
  • Strong technical writing experience, including the development of user manuals and e-learning content.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning development tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with instructional design methodologies.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Experience in the outdoor equipment industry.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and provide day-to-day leadership to a team of training professionals, instructional designers, and technical writers.
  • Design and conduct training sessions, workshops, and e-learning modules for dealer channel partners.
  • Develop and manage training programs to ensure effective understanding of product features and best practices.
  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding programs for new channel partners.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback surveys and performance metrics, adjusting programs as needed.
  • Lead and manage a team of technical writers to ensure high-quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and support teams to align content with product specifications.
  • Manage multiple training initiatives and technical writing projects simultaneously.
